Join the Western Placer Waste Management Authority (WPWMA) for a FREE, fun-filled event focused on educating the youngest members of our community on the facility where ALL of Western Placer County’s trash goes to be sorted for recyclable and compostable materials.
Get your hands dirty and learn how to make your own compost!
Pretend you're a recycling robot and sort through trash to find valuable recyclables!
Create a community art piece with recycled paint!
Take a bus tour of our recycling facilities to watch how trash turns into treasure through our unique recycling system!
Take a ride on garbage trucks and heavy-duty machinery!
Learn about the importance of recycling and enjoy a morning of "Talking Trash" with the whole family

NO! This event is a family-friendly community event that’s taking place at our Administrative Offices.
What ages is this event good for?
While there’s fun for Trash Talkers of all ages, Trash Bash is the perfect event for children between the ages of 3 – 8.
How much are “Trash Talker” T-shirts?
