Hours, Location & Disposal Pricing
The facility is open for disposal every day of the year with limited hours on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Holiday hours will be posted on the home page one week prior. The Household Hazardous Waste and Buyback Center facilities are closed on the holidays listed below.
MRF & Landfill (Disposal)

Recycling Buy-Back Center and Compost Sales*
Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Customers can drop off clean, separated recyclables such as cardboard and mixed paper at no charge, and can turn in glass, plastic and aluminum beverage containers with a CA redemption value for a refund. Customers may not redeem more than 100 pounds of CRV material per day; see CalRecycle’s CRV limits flier.
Compost is currently being produced and sold by the WPWMA’s private facility operator. At this time compost sales are not available on-site at the WPWMA. If you’re interested in purchasing the WPWMA’s compost, customers can currently purchase it from Rock Pros nearby our facility at 2920 Lesvos Ct. Lincoln, CA 95648. Household Hazardous Waste*
Daily 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Placer County residents can drop off HHW at no cost. Our operating permits limit us to the acceptance of no more than 15 gallons or 125 pounds per trip.
Your waste hauler may also pick up limited HHW and electronics for free at your door! Contact your hauler for more information or to schedule a pickup appointment.
Businesses generating small amounts of hazardous waste (CESQGs) can drop off materials for a fee. Fees and limits found here.

Most residential and commercial customers, including those with non-dumping trailers, are charged by the cubic yard at the public scalehouses. Larger commercial customers and customers with dumping trailers or dump trucks are charged by the ton at the commercial scalehouses.
The WPWMA accepts cash, checks, Visa, Master Card and Discover. We do not accept American Express. Customers must have payment for each load at the time of disposal. Staff is unable to accept payment over the phone.
